Tanzania's Central Railway Line was built over a century ago and has played an important role in connecting its inland provinces and neighboring landlocked countries with sea ports.

 China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is currently rehabilitating 985 kilometers of the railway's existing line and repairing affiliated infrastructure to improve its transportation capacity and strengthen the transportation network with neighboring countries. (Xinhua)
