Sonko said on Tuesday that police arrested his Sonko Rescue Team staff who were returning from a fumigation exercise in Nairobi streets.

Police also gave orders to Sonko to stop food donations saying it would encourage public gatherings.

At Mua Hills, Sonko gave close to 3000 villagers maize and wheat flour, cooking oil and sanitiser donations.

On Saturday, Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i ordered individuals and organisations wishing to give donations to those affected by Covid-19 to submit their contributions to the authorities.
