Seven KCSE candidates were on Thursday arrested by police after they were found in possession of exam materials prior to sitting the exam.

The seven who are private candidates at a center in Nyamira were found revising chemistry paper questions 30 minutes before the exam started.

One of the candidates received the exam questions on Whatsapp and shared the worked out answers with the rest six, Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba said.

“A number of people have been arrested and are held at Nyamira and Manga police stations pending interrogation and being charged in court,” said Amos Mariba.

The county commissioner warned against exam cheating sating the the law will catch up with any exam cheater.
