Candidates will be required to adhere to strict timelines for practical examination preparations. Collection of advance instructions for practical papers will begin on October 12, 2026, for the November series.

Hospitality practical examinations will also follow a structured planning schedule, beginning November 11, 2026, for the first cycle, with similar arrangements outlined for the 2027 examination series.

Warning against late registration

KNEC has emphasised that there will be no provision for late registration under any circumstances, urging institutions and candidates to comply strictly with the announced timelines.

Education stakeholders are being encouraged to ensure timely submission of candidate details and assessment data to avoid disqualification or administrative complications.

“NOTE: There is no provision for late registration,” KNEC stated.

All registrations will be done through KNEC’s official online portals, as part of ongoing efforts to digitise examination management and improve efficiency in the administration of national assessments.

The council has reiterated the importance of accuracy and adherence to guidelines, warning institutions against last-minute rushes that may compromise the registration process.
