Kawaya on Ruto’s projects

His visit comes after the Mwala MP praised the head of state for his outreach and plans to develop the larger Ukambani area.

Speaking ahead of the concluded Mashujaa Day celebration on Monday, October 20, 2025, Musyoka hailed the president’s resolve to put the region on par through his development agenda.

“As a Kamba nation, we say Ruto is our hero. Ukambani has been subjected to the politics of empty promises. Other presidents only made promises to us without delivering, but we now have road projects taking shape in Makueni, Kitui, and other places,” he said.

“For now, we have a stadium in Kitui and an airstrip. We also have a State Lounge. All these will open up our areas and generate opportunities for livelihoods for our residents,” he stated.
