Relief for Turbo residents as service centre set for launch

By , August 4, 2023

Residents of Turbo Sub-County in Uasin Gishu County will benefit from the completion of the state-of-the-art Sub-County office in Kamagut Ward.

The office is expected to provide essential services, including Artificial Insemination, agriculture extension services, licensing, public health, cooperatives and Saccos services.

County Executive in charge of Administration and Devolution, Elijah Kosgey, said the office is one of Governor Jonathan Bii’s flagship projects noting that residents will be able to receive services more easily.
He said their aim is the decentralisation of services for effective and improved service delivery.

“The 10 functions that were devolved in the 2010 Constitution will now benefit the residents directly,” said Kosgey while briefing the press in Eldoret.

Kamagut MCA Samwel Sawe said it is a relief to the sub-county residents who have been spending at least Sh400 per person to travel to the county headquarters in Eldoret town to seek services.
“Things will be very simple now that we will be having all services just within our locality,” said Sawe.
