Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga has pledged to lower food prices should he win the presidency in the August 9 General Elections.

Speaking in Kisauni on Tuesday, Raila said he has plans to ensure that enough food is produced in the country.

“We will employ smart agriculture that will ensure we have enough food supply in the country.

“We will give farmers subsidized fertilisers that will enable them to produce enough food,” he said.

Raila also took a swipe at Kenya Kwanza Alliance leaders saying that they are complaining and not offering solutions to the problem.

“We have a solution to food prices in the country,” he added.

He further blamed Ruto for the problems Kenyans are facing, saying he has ’emptied’ public coffers.

“He contributes over Ksh100 million in Harambees and buying school buses yet he only earns Ksh2 million per month. Where does he get all that money?” he posed.
