Raila in Kasarani as Uhuru puts Jubilee in order at KICC

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga is on his way to Kasarani Stadium for the party’s National Delegates Conference (NDC).

Raila has since been endorsed as the party’s presidential flag bearer for the August 9 general election.

Governors Hassan Joho and Wycliffe Oparanya, who had shown interest to vie for presidency on ODM ticket, stepped down for Raila on Friday.

At the same time, President Uhuru Kenyatta is at KICC where his Jubilee Party is holding an NDC before teaming up with ODM under Azimio la Umoja Movement.

On Friday, the Uhuru-led party signed coalition agreements with; the Party of National Unity, Pamoja African Alliance Party of Kenya, United Progressive Alliance (UPA) party, UPYA party and the Kenya Union Party.

The party leaders of the aforementioned parties signed respective pre-election pacts with Jubilee during a party meeting that was held in KICC in readiness for their National Delegates Conference on Saturday.

The agenda of the KICC meeting included a review of the Party’s policies as well as an amendment and/or ratifying proposed changes to the Jubilee Party constitution to comply with current electoral laws.

The delegates also approved the party’s new seal, symbol, and flag.
