Three prime suspects believed to have been behind the murder of a mother and her two daughters in Nyamira county two months ago have been arrested.

According to Erastus Mbui, the Nyamira County Commissioner, detectives from the county criminal investigation unit with help from DCI headquarters smoked the three from their hideouts in different parts of the country.

Mbui said that the officers were still hunting for the main suspect, said to be the schemer and financier of the brutal murders.
Confirming the arrests, the county commissioner said that one’ investigations are complete, the suspects will be arraigned and charged.

Speaking at Kenyoro secondary school playground, Mbui asked members of the public to discard the habit of protecting criminals.

He also asked parents to closely monitor the conduct and behaviour of their children noting some parents were protecting their children who they knew very well were criminals.
