Curb the vice

Addressing the press in Murang’a town during a public forum, Rono said the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) and the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) are among the agents who will supervise the exercise.

He said previously, there have been claims of canvassing and bribing for people to be recruited into the Service, but the commission is working to curb this vice.

“The recruitment is free and provides equal opportunities for all as long as one meets the requirements,” he said.

He added that anybody found trying to bribe their way into the service shall be dealt with in accordance with the law saying this shall not be tolerated

Rono He further warned that the commission would nullify the appointment of a recruit if it establishes that he or she was picked after giving out a bribe.
