Amidst an impressive gathering of dignitaries, including President William Ruto, his deputy Rigathi Gachagua, governors, MPs, and esteemed guests, the celebrations kicked off with a ceremonial inspection of the guard of honour by President Ruto.

Accompanied by Chief of Defence Forces General Charles Kahariri, this marks Kahariri’s inaugural appearance at a national celebration since assuming office on May 2.
