Osotsi confirms attendance at Linda Mwananchi rally days after Kisumu attack
By Ndiritu Wanjiru, April 10, 2026Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi has affirmed that he will be there at the next Linda Mwananchi rally in Nakuru, which comes just days following his attack by his unknown assailants in Kisumu.
In a TikTok video on Friday, April 10, 2026, Osotsi has called on Kenyans to be ready to turn up for the Linda Mwananchi Rally to be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Nakuru County, saying that the ultimate goal of the faction is to make sure that President Ruto’s regime does not go beyond the 2027 general elections.
“Wakenya wenzangu niko hospitalini lakini mjipange. Nakuru tunakuja. Mambo ni Wantam,” Osotsi said.

Osotsi’s attack
CCTV footage from the restaurant shows the senator engaged in a confrontation with a group of rowdy individuals who became violent during a tense political situation. The situation escalated, necessitating the intervention of his security team to extricate him from it.

The fact that Osotsi is to appear at the Nakuru rally is likely to give his supporters an extra boost and weight to the Linda Mwananchi movement, which has been gaining traction in the past few weeks. They say that the fact that he showed up so soon after the attack could give the campaign’s message more power and get a lot of people talking.
The Linda Mwananchi faction of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party, which is led by Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna, has been holding rallies that attract huge crowds and has been calling out for the ouster of the Ruto-led regime in the upcoming general elections in 2027.
