Oburu and Wanga meet ODM delegates in Uasin Gishu County
The Orange Democratic Movement has taken its party outreach programmes to the Uasin Gishu County, with party leader Oburu Oginga and national chairperson Gladys Wanga leading the entourage.
In a statement on her X page on Monday, December 15, 2025, Wanga confirmed the party held a delegates’ meeting aimed at fostering cooperation and revitalising the party’s inclusiveness.
The two were accompanied by ODM deputy party leader and Kisii Governor Simba Arati and hosted by Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii.
“Alongside ODM Party Leader Senator Dr Oburu Oginga and Deputy Party Leader Governor Simba Arati, we engaged in extensive discussions with @TheODMparty delegates and grassroots officials from Uasin Gishu County in Eldoret City.

“The meeting served as a constructive dialogue aimed at fostering cooperation and revitalising our party inclusively,” she stated.
During the function, Wanga lauded the unity brought about in the country through the broad-based government as key to moving Kenya forward, adding that leaders who sought to divide Kenyans had no part in the country.
Broad-based unity
She emphasised that the nation’s strength lies in unity through diversity and a shared commitment to democratic ideals, stressing the significance of such engagements in working towards a cohesive and prosperous country.
“I want to ask youths to join this party inside the broad-based government and move forward. The call by Raila Odinga and President Ruto to bring the people of this nation together was a timely intervention, and we are in support of that arrangement,” she stated.
Political pundits and observers have, however, construed the visit to Governor Bii’s office as part of the leaders’ efforts to rally the Luo community in the region to rally behind the governor’s reelection bid as he seeks to consolidate his support in the cosmopolitan county ahead of the 2027 polls.
