The service encouraged interested individuals to take advantage of the opportunity and visit designated recruitment centres in their respective sub-counties.

“Eligible young Kenyans are encouraged to turn up in large numbers at their respective sub-county recruitment centres and take advantage of this opportunity to serve the nation while gaining valuable skills, discipline, and training,” the statement added.

NYS goals

National Youth Service (NYS) is dedicated to empowering Kenya’s youth through a unique blend of paramilitary discipline and vocational excellence.

Through its programmes, the NYS equips recruits with technical and vocational skills in areas such as construction, agriculture, mechanical works, and community development.

These skilled cohorts form a vital ‘action force’ for Kenya, deploying nationwide to lead disaster response, infrastructure projects, and environmental conservation.
