Traditional giant schools in the Nyanza region continued their dominance.

Provisional results showed that Maseno, Kisumu Boys, Maranda and Kisumu Girls schools excelled, with scores of candidates scoring A.

Maseno school topped the list with over 18 candidates scoring grade A even as the school continued to receive more results.

In the 2023 KCSE exams, the school had 35 candidates with an A and a mean score of 9.5.

Patrick Mboya, the dean of studies said overall, they are expecting improved results from the 2023 exams. He attributed the good results to early syllabus coverage, discipline and dedication from students and staff.

Kisumu Boys

At Kisumu Boys High School, 12 candidates were confirmed to have scored grade A plain when we did a spot check. Principal Austin Muma Okello said the results of 100 out of 550 candidates had been confirmed

In Kisumu Girls, at least five candidates had A plain when we checked.

In Siaya County, Maranda High School in Bondo sub-county posted good results, with scores attaining grade A.
