Amani National Congress (ANC) party leader Musalia Mudavadi is expected to tour Nakuru County on a two day visit beginning Saturday, July 3.

Mudavadi is set to charm Nakuru residents with his economic blue print while listening to the views of area leaders and residents. 

The Saturday 3 tour comes barely three weeks after Mudavadi visited the coast region to popularize his party.

“Mudavadi will on Saturday at 10 am pay courtesy visit to Governor Lee Kinyanjui at the Governor’s office, thereafter tour county development projects,” a press statement from ANC read. 

Muadavadi’s tour comes after leaders from the opposition called on him, ODM leader Raila Odinga, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Wiper chief Kalonzo Musyoka to put their differences aside and revive NASA.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu sparked calls for the reunion of the four principals during the burial of former MP Kalembe Ndile when  she warned them that they will all lose the 2022 polls if they run separately. 

“Back in 2017, we had plans as Nasa which we thought would transform this country. Unfortunately, we failed as the coalition and Jubilee Party  took over but later engaged us through Handshake,” she said.

 “Instead of wasting time, we want Nasa to unite as we work to implement what we wanted in 2017.

“If these leaders go alone, they will lose but if they unite we will form the next government”.

However, both Mudavadi and Kalanzo have expressed apprehension on the revival of the political outfit. 

Mudavadi revealed that there was mistrust and deceit within the coalition on the side of ODM pointing out the sharing of political parties funds. 

“There is a serious deficit of trust in the NASA arrangement, in fact, I find it even irredeemable,” Musalia said during his tour of Mombasa. 

According to Musalia, Raila did not honor the commitments of the coalition in sharing political parties funds.

“We are no longer interested in a marriage that is abusive. In a coalition that is abusive. Hiyo ndoa ya NASA imekwisha ladha. We want to find new partners,” Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala said.

Mudavadi’s tour of Nakuru is anchored on his economic plan for the country as he charms Kenyans ahead of the 2022 polls. 

“Nakuru City recently obtained City status and my mission in Nakuru this weekend is to understand the challenges facing the community and discuss opportunities for achieving economic growth in the ares,” Musalia said. 

He added: “We need to work together to craft sustainable solutions to heal our hemorrhaging economy and create jobs for our people.”

The ANC party leader will attend two church services starting at PCEA Church and at Christ the King Cathedral Church before meeting representatives from the county.
