Nakuru County has cautioned motorists against John Momanyi Road whose section has caved in near Koinange Primary School in the Shabaab area. On Sunday morning, a bread truck was stuck in the cave-in.

In a statement by the Deputy Governor Erick Korir, the County said they were establishing the cause of the cave in. According to their preliminary investigations, the cave in pointed to underground faulting.

“We wish to caution motorists using John Momanyi road near Koinange Primary School in Shabaab area that a section of the road has caved in,” said Mr. Korir.

The official said they have since cordoned off the affected section. They also warned Nakuru motorists to be careful due to the ongoing heavy rainfall.
