Murkomen holds talks with Israeli ambassador to Kenya amid US-Iran conflict

Murkomen further assured the Israeli Ambassador of Kenya’s role in supporting the framework of multilateral institutions in the resolution of the conflict and efforts towards de-escalation.
“I assured the Ambassador that Kenya supports the framework of multilateral institutions in the resolution of the conflict and efforts towards de-escalation,” he added.

Advisory to Kenyans in the Middle East
The meeting comes days after the government of Kenya issued a stern travel and safety advisory to Kenyans living and travelling in the Middle East as the tension between Iran and Israel continues to rise.
Speaking in a morning interview with a local TV station on Monday, March 2, 2026, Principal Secretary for Diaspora Affairs Roseline Njogu has advised Kenyans living in the Middle East countries to remain indoors as much as possible and to keep in touch with communication channels at Kenyan embassies around the globe and their official government channels to receive real-time updates as plans to keep them safe are underway, saying that the scenario is being monitored.
“For now, as we monitor, it is important to reiterate to Kenyans to shelter in place and listen to what your host country is advising… We are far from an evacuation scenario, but we have a plan in place if it comes to that, Foreign Affairs PS Roseline Njogu assures Kenyans.” Njogu said.
