‘I would like to unreservedly apologise to every Kenyan’- Murkomen’s message after Sports CS nomination
Former Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has issued a public apology to Kenyans following his re-nomination to cabinet by President William Ruto.
In an emotional statement on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, Murkomen, who has been nominated as Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports, noted that his decision to apologise comes after deep introspection.
The Sports CS nominee expressed regret if his lifestyle offended Kenyans.
Nonetheless, Murkomen vowed to serve diligently in his new docket if approved by the Committee on Appointments.

“Honoured and grateful to have been nominated by President William Ruto as the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy, and Sports,” he stated.
“Subject to my approval by Parliament, I pledge to serve the people of Kenya diligently, with great humility and unwavering accountability,” he added.
