Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, interacted with Kenyan students and professionals in Hungary.

Issuing a statement after his engaging encounter with the Kenyans in the diaspora, Mudavadi, who also serves as the country’s Prime CS revealed details of the interactions and assured that the engagement was fruitful.

In particular, the vocal CS noted that they held talks on the importance of values, encouraging the students to serve as ambassadors of Kenya through upholding the country’s values of hard work, warmth and unity.

“Had a great interaction with Kenyan students and professionals in Hungary, listening to their experiences and insights. I encouraged them to uphold Kenya’s values of hard work, warmth, and unity, serving as true ambassadors of our nation,” he said.

He also assured the students of the government’s unwavering commitment to supporting them throughout their stay.

“The government remains committed to supporting them throughout their stay,” he added.

The prime CS was accompanied by Kenya’s Ambassador to Austria Maurice Makaloo.

Mudavadi meets Hungary diplomat

This comes days after Mudavadi met Hungary’s Ambassador to Kenya Zsolt Meszaros at his Nairobi office.

During the meeting, the two spoke on opportunities to deepen collaboration between the two countries in mutually beneficial areas such as trade, investment, education and energy.

They also agreed to expand the two countries engagement for the benefit of Kenyans and Hungarians.

“Had an engaging meeting with H.E. Zsolt Meszaros, Hungary’s Ambassador to Kenya, who paid a courtesy call on me at my office. Explored opportunities for deepening collaboration between the two countries in mutually beneficial areas, including trade, investment, education and energy.

“Acknowledged Hungary’s partnership including in an Agricultural Demo Farm in Kirinyanga County conducting trials on seed varieties and their adaptability to Kenya’s climatic conditions,” Mudavadi said.
