Four legislators, led by Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo have blamed Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu over his remarks regarding alleged examination cheating in schools in Kisii and Nyamira counties.

Machogu came under pressure this weekend over the remarks he made about principals whose centres were allegedly caught in examination irregularities.

Madzayo was hosted in Nyamira County by Senator Okong’o Mogeni in the company of other lawmakers Enock Wambua(Kitui) and Eddy Okech (Migori).

They were at Seventh-Day Adventist Church Kiambere in West Mugirango where they joined congregants to fundraise for the Church’s construction project.

They all castigated the CS for making in pronouncements suggesting that schools in the two counties were guilty of examination cheating. Machogu had said the principals had been suspended from being centre managers and blamed them for taking part in the alleged malpractices.

Madzayo said the CS wrongly condemned the principals whom he said were innocent according to the law.
