The Kenya Meteorological Department has predicted more rain across the country in its five-day forecast from May 10, 2024, to May 14, 2024.

In its forecast for Saturday, the weatherman said showers are expected in parts of the country in the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley.

The affected Counties where rain is expected include: Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot Counties.

All eyes are on the police today as the gruesome murder of 38-year-old Ohangla dancer Sheila Odoyo continues to draw public interest.

Police launched a manhunt for 45-year-old Jackson Bambo, the husband of the slain dancer, but he is yet to be arrested.

Sheila Odoyo’s lifeless body was discovered in her bedroom on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 3 pm by a family member.

Police determined that the suspect left the scene at 1 am Thursday morning using his vehicle which was recovered in Nairobi CBD.

Kenyans are keen to see if police will ultimately arrest the main suspect today and what direction the murder investigation will take.

Blackout

A power outage scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, is set to impact three Counties across Kenya, according to an announcement from Kenya Power.

The blackout, which is planned for maintenance purposes, will affect several areas at different times of the day.

The outage, while temporary, is expected to impact various sectors and activities in the affected Counties.

Kenya Power said that the Saturday power interruption will affect Nairobi, Siaya and Nyeri Counties at different times of the day.
