Kenya Policed advance
Kenya Police FC advanced to the second round after a solid 1-0 win over Ethiopia Coffee SC, with Rashid Toha scoring the decisive goal in the first half. This victory set up a two-legged tie against the Egyptian giants, Zamalek.
The team qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup by clinching the 2024 FKF Cup title, where they defeated KCB 8-7 in a penalty shootout following a goalless draw in regulation and extra time.
Goalkeeper Patrick Matasi played a crucial role, not only scoring the winning penalty but also earning the Golden Glove award for his four clean sheets throughout the tournament.
The 2024–25 CAF Confederation Cup marks the 22nd edition of the tournament and the 50th overall season of Africa’s secondary club football competition, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The winner will automatically qualify for the next edition and earn the right to compete in the 2025 CAF Super Cup against the winners of the 2024–25 CAF Champions League.
