Ruto’s Nairobi tour

President William Ruto on Friday, March 14, 2025, concluded his development tour of Nairobi City County. However, the tour was marred with several controversies that have continued to attract mixed reactions, which are expected to continue.

For instance, Ruto’s motorcade was involved in a hit and run along Ngong’ Road as he was rushing to Kibera from Lang’ata on his fourth day of the tour. There were also instances of pedestrians and motorists getting robbed by gangs who seemed to have been part of the crowds the head of state was addressing, with Thika Road residents being the most affected on the day Ruto was in Mathare and Ruaraka constituencies.

With Ruto having concluded his tour of the city, the unfortunate incidents that took place are expected to continue attracting reactions.
