The opposition’s Linda Mwananchi Tour will head to Nyandarua County on Sunday, July 12, as coalition leaders continue their nationwide mobilisation campaign ahead of the 2027 general election.
According to the programme released by the organisers, the leaders will begin the day with a church service at Kanjuiri Church at 10 a.m. before proceeding to Ngorika at 1 p.m., Ol Kalou Town at 3 p.m. and concluding the tour in Nyahururu Town at 4 p.m.

Ol Kalou by-election
The rally comes as the by-election polls for the constituency near, as they are rallying behind the DCP candidate Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru.
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) cleared multiple candidates to contest the seat, setting up a competitive race involving major political parties and independent aspirants.

Sammy Douglas Kamau Waweru, the DCP candidate, is among the contenders seeking to capitalise on growing grassroots mobilisation, with his supporters increasingly using small-scale contributions and community-driven fundraising as part of his campaign strategy.
He will face off with Samuel Muchina of the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA), among other candidates.
The Ol Kalou by-election is shaping up to be a key contest in Nyandarua County, drawing attention from both local and national political actors due to its potential implications for regional political dynamics.
Campaigns have intensified across the constituency, with aspirants focusing on issues such as youth unemployment, infrastructure development, and agricultural support, as they seek to win over voters ahead of the July 16 poll.
The IEBC has urged candidates and their supporters to maintain peaceful campaigns and adhere to electoral regulations as the race enters its final stretch.
