Late Kiaraho’s widow challenges her eldest son to assume his father’s role

Addressing the emotional send-off ceremony at the Tigoni farm in Kiambu County on Friday, April 10, 2026, Jackie Kiaraho has encouraged her firstborn son, Kiaraho, to step up and steer the family into a new direction as the new head.
She emphasised the value of duty, solidarity, and perseverance in preserving the legacy of his deceased father. Jackie stated that as the eldest son, it is now his responsibility to take on his father’s role.
“To my son Kiaraho, prepare yourself to assume your father’s role and carry it forward.” The foundation has been set; you are now capable of fitting into his shoes. I do not doubt that,” Jackie Kiaraho said.

The widow gave a glowing tribute to her late husband as a loving and devoted family man who was always concerned about the well-being of his wife and children. She remembered how faithfully he adhered to family values and how close he was to his family.
In addition, Jackie also recalled the late legislator as an exemplary leader who served the people with sincerity and honesty. She emphasised the fact that he was a passionate development man, and he had worked tirelessly to better the lives of his constituents in office.
Kiaraho’s burial
The late Ol Kalou Member of Parliament (MP), David Njuguna Kiaraho, will be laid to rest on April 10, 2026, in Tigoni, Limuru Constituency, as leaders and family members gather for his burial after his death on Sunday, March 29.
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, Cabinet Secretary for Tourism Rebecca Miano, and Nyandarua Governor Kiarie Badilisha are among the top leaders present at the burial, where mourners continue to pay tribute to the former lawmaker.

David Njuguna Kiaraho was born into a world that combined professional knowledge with serving the people, which helped him transition from being a principal architect to becoming an experienced politician. He was the representative for the Ol Kalou Constituency in the National Assembly and served three terms in the Parliament. There, he was the champion of development programmes and the voice of his constituents.
Kiaraho passed away at the age of 62. He left behind a legacy of leadership, service, and dedication to improving his community. His burial is the last episode of a life that was inspirational to many in Nyandarua County and beyond.
