Kinyamal, Koech impress in Diamond League

Kenyan athlete Wyclife Kinyamal established himself as the leading force in the 800m event, outshining his compatriot Emmanuel Wanyonyi with a remarkable victory in a time of 1:43.22 at the fiercely competitive Monaco Diamond League.
The 800m race was a spectacle of talent, with the top six athletes delivering extraordinary performances, each crossing the impressive 1:44 mark.

Slimane Moula from Algeria secured the second position with a commendable time of 1:43.40, followed closely by Canada’s front-runner, Marco Arop, who clinched third place with a time of 1:43.51.
The 3000m steeplechase provided yet another memorable moment with Kenyan athlete Simon Koech delivering a stellar performance.
He set an astounding 14-second personal best, finishing with a time of 8:04.19, which proved to be an exciting upset against his more-favoured compatriot, Abraham Kibiwot, who finished with a time of 8:09.54.
5000m
In the 5000m event, Ethiopian runners dominated the stage, with World silver medallist Hagos Gebrhiwet showcasing immense determination by making a bold surge 500m from the finish.
His strategic move paid off as he achieved the fastest race of his career, completing the race in an impressive time of 12:42.18.
Berihu Aregawi, the world leader in the category, put up a fierce challenge, finishing closely behind with a time of 12:42.58. Telahun Bekele also displayed his prowess, setting a personal best time of 12:42.70.
