Kenya Power lists areas to experience outages on Wednesday, December 3
Kenya Power has announced planned power outages on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
The maintenance will affect parts of Nairobi, the Central Rift, Western, Mt. Kenya, Eastern, and Coastal regions. Residents and businesses are advised to plan ahead, as the electricity supply will be interrupted for several hours in the affected areas.
In Nairobi, the Mihango area will experience outages from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Affected locations include Kenya Builders, Karagitha, Part Mihango, Comboni, Maono, Twiga, Kwa Kados, Medina, Royal Ambassadors, and adjacent customers.
Another part of the city, Garage Road, will also be affected between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, including Garage Road and nearby homes. Additionally, part of Rosslyn will have no power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Canadian Embassy, the residence of the American Embassy, Rosslyn Lone Tree, and adjacent customers are included in this outage.
In the Central Rift region, parts of Nakuru County, including Kabarak University and surrounding areas such as Kabarak Guest House, Kabarak High School, Kabarak Bakery, Upper Mangu, Maraga Farm, Ngata Kaptich, Kirobon AGC, Olongai, Tulwobmoi, Marigo B, part of Rafiki Farm, Oloika, and Raw Hide, will experience power cuts from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Widespread electricity outages
In Kericho County, Kenegut Market, Torsogik Dispensary, Mochorwa Dispensary, Moi Sitotwet, and nearby customers will lose electricity between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm.
In Bomet County, power will be unavailable from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. in Olipisiai, GK Prisons, Lolgorian, Mararianda, Kichwa Tembo, Angama, Partakilat, Mara Engai, Mara West, Angata Barrikoi, Gwitembe, Oldonyorok, Masurura, and surrounding areas.
In Western Kenya, parts of Siaya County, including Usenge, Wangarot, Nyamunye, Jaramogi University, Wambasa, Uhanya, and neighbouring areas, will face outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
In the Mt. Kenya region, parts of Nyeri County, including Kiangai and Kianwe, will experience cuts from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Affected locations include Gatura Market, Gatura Village, Kamunyaka C/Fact, Ihara Village, Miiri C/Fact, Miiri Kiawaiguru, Miiri Village, Kiangai Market, Kianyage Village, Kiangai C/Fact, Kiriko TBC, Gitundumo TBC, Kaharo TBC, Kiambagathi Village, Kiahiti TBC, Kianwe Market, Thunguri C/Fact, Kare Rahungu Village, Borokero Village, Kiangai Maganjo Village, Safaricom and Airtel Boosters, and adjacent customers.
Parts of Kirinyaga County, including Difathers and Kamunyange, will also be affected from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, while areas in Kiambu County, including Witeithie, Kibute, and Ndarugu, will experience similar outages.
In Kitui County, Kyuso, Katse, Tseikuru, Gai, Kakoongo, Mivukoni, Nguuni, Mwangea, Ngongoni, Ciampiu, Kamusiliu, and adjacent customers will be affected from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. In the Coast region, parts of Taita Taveta County, including Sir Ramson Primary School and neighbouring areas, will lose power from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Kenya Power urges residents and businesses in affected areas to take necessary precautions, especially those reliant on electricity for work, school, or essential services.
