Kenya Power lists areas to experience interruption on Tuesday, November 25

Kenya Power has announced planned power outages in parts of several counties on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. The utility shared the details via its official X account on Monday, warning residents and businesses to prepare for the scheduled interruptions.

In Nairobi, the company will cut electricity in parts of Karen and Langata from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Areas affected include Bomas of Kenya, CITAM, Nyumba Moja Road, Forest Edge Gardens, Muiri Road, Langata Substation, and nearby customers.

Nairobi’s Kayole, Komarock, and Spine Road areas will experience outages from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The affected zones include Komarock Phase 1, Mbuyu Court, Acacia Court, Mihango, Spring Valley, Kayole Junction, Matopeni, Kayole Posta, Jawaka, Three in One S/Market, and other nearby areas. Residents and businesses are advised to plan around the interruption.

Other counties

In Kajiado County, electricity will be suspended in Amboseli and Isara from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Key businesses and institutions such as Jesbriquette, Sopa Lodge, Ngong Veg, AA Lodge, Mada Hotel, Kibo Safari, Ngong Narok Primary, Omra, Mbirikani, and parts of Simba Cement will also lose power.

Meanwhile, in the North Rift region, parts of Nandi County, including Kibwareng, Chepkatamon Centre, and Chepkaos Market, will be without power from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.

In Western Kenya, Kakamega County will face outages in Musanda and Bungatsi from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The supply cut will affect Musanda, Imanga, Buhuru, Iyapo, Nyapeta, Buchifi, Shtkhumi, Mutoma, and surrounding customers.

Routine Monday power outages

Kenya Power had also confirmed that Monday, November 24, 2025, saw routine maintenance blackouts in several parts of the country. In Nandi County, Emrok Tea Factory, Kamalel Primary School, and adjacent customers lost electricity from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In Kisii County, areas such as Botori Market, Gesero, and nearby institutions were affected during the same hours. Nyeri County experienced outages around Ragati Tea Factory and Kanyagia Market, impacting farms, schools, and small businesses.

Kenya Power stressed that these planned outages are part of routine maintenance aimed at improving service reliability. The company assured residents that electricity is expected to be restored by 5:00 pm, except in cases of unexpected technical problems.
