Kenya Met issues weather forecasts for Monday, November 10
The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) has released the daily weather forecast covering the period from 9:00 pm on Sunday, November 9, 2025, to 9:00 pm on Monday, November 10, 2025.
According to the forecast, various parts of the country are expected to experience showers, thunderstorms, and strong southeasterly winds, particularly across northern Kenya.

Nationwide rainfall, wind outlook
Rainfall is anticipated over the south-east lowlands, highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, as well as in parts of Marsabit and Turkana counties, which will also experience strong southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots (12.5 m/s).
Regional forecasts
Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley
Counties expected to be affected include Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia, Bungoma, Kisumu, Kisii, Nyamira, Migori, Siaya, Homabay, Kericho, Nandi, Bomet, Nakuru, Elgeyo Marakwet, West Pokot, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, and Narok.

Showers and thunderstorms are forecasted over several areas within the period, with rain over a few places in the morning and widespread showers accompanied by thunderstorms expected in the afternoon.
Highlands East of the Rift Valley (Including Nairobi County)
Counties in this region include Nyeri, Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Embu, Meru, Kiambu, Tharaka Nithi, Laikipia, Nyandarua, and Nairobi.
Cloudy conditions with light rain is expected in the period. Morning rains will occur in a few places, transitioning to intervals of sunshine before more widespread showers in the afternoon.
North Western region
This region, which includes Turkana and Samburu counties, will experience partly cloudy conditions tonight, with sunny intervals throughout Monday. Strong southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots are expected over parts of Turkana County.
North Eastern region

Counties such as Marsabit, Garissa, Mandera, Wajir, and Isiolo will experience partly cloudy conditions tonight and sunny weather on Monday, November 10, 2025, as well. However, strong southeasterly winds of more than 25 knots are expected, particularly in Marsabit County.
South Eastern lowlands
Counties expected to experience light rainfall include Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Taita Taveta, and Kajiado.
Showers are forecast over a few places tonight, with rain expected on Monday morning and additional scattered showers in the afternoon.
Coastal region
In the coastal strip, which includes Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Tana River, partly cloudy conditions are expected tonight. Monday morning will be sunny, with showers expected in the afternoon over a few areas.
In summary, most parts of the country are expected to experience showers and thunderstorms, particularly in the western and Rift Valley regions, while northern areas such as Marsabit and Turkana will be affected by strong southeasterly winds. Coastal and northeastern regions will remain partly cloudy, with intermittent rainfall in isolated areas.
