KeNHA raises alarm over surge of fake recruitment drives
By Cynthia Lodite, March 17, 2026The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has flagged a fraudulent email that claimed the corporation is hiring.
In a statement on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, the authority urged the public to ignore such fraudulent emails falsely claiming to be associated with the KeNHA recruitment processes.
While flagging the fraudulent email, KeNHA has further listed the said email behind the fraudulent activity, claiming that an amptitude test has been postponed.
“The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) wishes to inform the public of a rise in fraudulent messages and emails falsely claiming to be associated with the KeNHA recruitment processes,” KeNHA stated.
According to KeNHA, the alert follows numerous reports from individuals who have been contacted by unknown persons requesting personal information.
In addition, KeNHA has revealed that, besides requesting personal data, they have also been asking innocent job seekers for payment of fees in exchange for job opportunities.
“The Authority has received numerous reports from individuals who have been contacted by unknown persons requesting personal information or payment of fees in exchange for job opportunities,” KeNHA said.

KeNHA would like to clearly state that:All recruitment is conducted strictly through official channels. KeNHA does not charge any fees at any stage of the recruitment process.
The public has been encouraged to verify all job postings through the corporation’s official website before making applications.
“Members of the public are strongly advised to exercise caution and remain vigilant. Always verify the authenticity of any communication claiming to originate from KeNHA,” KeNHA explained.
KeNHA has maintained that any official correspondence will only be issued through verified email addresses and published on the authority’s official website.
The authority has further cautioned members of the public against sharing personal data or sending money to unauthorised individuals.
“KeNHA remains committed to transparency, integrity, and fairness in all her recruitment activities.Stay alert. Do not share personal information or send money to unauthorized individuals,” KeNHA said.
