Kalonzo: LSK is Kenya’s last hope in revolution
The Wiper Patriotic Front Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, has described the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) as the last hope of Kenyans fighting for revolution.
Speaking shortly after attending the LSK Public Interest Gala at a Nairobi hotel on Friday night, October 31, 2025, the former Vice President encouraged the legal practitioners to stand with the common citizen against state injustices without hesitation.

He further cautioned that Kenya could easily fall into turmoil if the legal professionals sleep on the job, giving an example of Tanzania, which is currently in an election crisis that has left an unknown number of people dead following the ongoing nationwide unrest.
Kalonzo’s warning
”When I went to a court next to Kamiti Maximum Prison and saw young Kenyans being charged under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (POTA), I realised that if we are not careful, we can lose this country. You lawyers, practising advocates, were born to set this right. If you doubt me, look at the streets of Dar-es-Salam,” Kalonzo took to X.

The Wiper Patriotic Front Party chief further commended lawyers who provide pro bono representation to those arrested while fighting for a positive revolution.
”These are times of real change, positive revolution. But what is the role of the advocate when things are looking to be falling apart? Our country and region are on the brink. The LSK, in my opinion, is our last hope. I therefore celebrate all of you who are taking these legal briefs pro bono to help your fellow Kenyans. I celebrate you,” Kalonzo added.
Message to KNCHR
In his message to the new chairperson of the Kenya National Commission for Human Rights (KNCHR), Claris Awuor Ogangah-Onyango, Kalonzo challenged her to stand with Kenyans in their search for justice. ”Your job is cut out; be on the side of the people who are crying out for justice. Bravo, Law Society of Kenya,” Kalonzo said.
Claris Ogangah (right) officially received the tools of leadership from Vice Chairperson Raymond Nyeris, who has been leading the Commission as Acting Chairperson, on Thursday, October 30, 2025. In her remarks, the incoming chairperson pledged to continue defending the rights of all Kenyans and strengthening accountability and public trust.
