Junet claps back at Muturi over recent exposé on Ruto

Suna East Member of Parliament (MP) Junet Mohammed has blasted former Public Service Cabinet Secretary (CS) Justin Muturi over his recent damning exposé about what he described as the irredemable corruption in President William Ruto’s administration.
Speaking in Mombasa, where he attendded the Eid Baraza on Saturday, April 5, 2025, Junet scoffed at Muturi’s sentiments noting that he should have reported the matter to the EACC instead of the public. He reminisced how Muturi had earlier refused to support Raila Odinga for presidency, saying he would rather support Ruto who he now criticizes as a corrupt leader.
Junet, while criticizing Muturi’s sentiments on Ruto, also spilled the beans on the former CS’s involvement in the Bunge Towers scandal, calling for fresh investigations into the matter.

Muturi’s revelation
Muturi had called out Ruto accusing him of corruption in a tell-all interview with NTV‘s Fixing the Nation.
Speaking during the interview, Muturi claimed that Ruto was pretentious about fighting corruption yet he was secretly at the front of corruption deals worth billions.
Without mincing his words, Muturi boldly declared that Ruto was fond of portraying different characters behind closed doors and in public, accusing him of being a dangerous character.

“He is quite a dangerous character. I think Ruto is unfit for the position of president. I’ve no bitterness, this is my assessment. When I watched him talk to members of my Cabinet, saying I don’t want to see corruption, I wondered who is this talking?” Muturi posed.
“Yes, he (Ruto) is absolutely, very, irredeemably corrupt,” he added.
His criticism of the president follows weeks after Ruto fired him in the latest Cabinet changes, replacing him with current Mbeere North MP Geoffrey Ruku.
