Jowie releases new gospel jam

By , August 18, 2020

We were not sure of what to expect when we first heard the news about Jowie Irungu releasing not just a song, but a gospel song; or conscious music as he calls it.

Nishikilie is a worship song where he pours his heart out and talks about his tribulations in life.

“Music is a talent that God blessed me with and I used it growing up at Agape Church where I was a choir coach and instrumentalist.

This year, the music bug bit again and I had to get in the booth and do something about it. Nishikilie shows how best I communicate with my God,” he told Spice.

His passion for music was his guide to the choice of records he plans to work on.

Jowie does not believe in limits, which explains why he leans toward conscious and inspirational music and style of singing.

He doubles up as a song writer. Jowie—who is out on bond on a murder charge—believes that working under Safri Records where he joins the likes of Dar Mjomba, Jaki Maya and Zawadi Vanilla, among other young and talented artistes will propel him to greater heights in his career.
