Students can confirm their university or college placement through the Kenya Universities and Colleges Placement Service student portal once the final results are released.

Applicants should access the portal through the official KUCCPS website and avoid links circulated through unverified social media accounts or messages.

How to check placement

  1. Visit the official KUCCPS website at kuccps.ac.ke.
  2. Select the Student’s Portal option.
  3. Enter your KCSE index number.
  4. Enter the year you sat the KCSE examination.
  5. Enter your portal password.
  6. Click the login button to access your account.
  7. Check the dashboard for your placement details, including the institution and course offered.

Applicants who have never changed their portal password should use their KCPE index number or birth certificate number. Those who changed their password during the application or revision process should use the new password.

KUCCPS may also send placement information through the telephone number provided during application. Students should still log into the portal to confirm the details.

Getting admission letters

KUCCPS does not issue university admission letters or joining instructions.

After confirming placement, students should visit the website of the university or college where they have been placed. The institution will provide the admission letter, reporting date, fee structure and other joining requirements.

The 2026 placement process mainly targeted candidates who sat the 2025 KCSE examination and Form Four leavers from previous years.

According to KUCCPS, 268,700 candidates from the 2025 KCSE class attained a mean grade of C+ and above, qualifying them for degree programmes.

Candidates with grades ranging from A to E could apply for diploma, certificate, artisan and other TVET courses.

KUCCPS opened the 2026 application portal on April 7 and closed it on May 6, 2026.

Placement was based on merit, applicants’ course choices, KCSE performance, and available capacity in universities and colleges.

Students should rely only on official KUCCPS announcements and avoid paying anyone who promises to reveal or change placement results.
