In a statement shared by the State Department for Foreign Affairs on X on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, the Mission said its primary concern remains the well-being of Kenyan nationals residing in Tanzania, affirming that their safety continues to be a top priority.
“The Kenya High Commission in Dar es Salaam wishes to give reassurance to the Kenyan Community in Tanzania that the Mission has resumed normal operations following the lifting of the curfew and the restrictions put in place after the General elections in Tanzania,” the statement read.
This comes after two Kenyans were shot dead during the protests.
The Mission noted that it remains in close communication with Tanzanian authorities to ensure all Kenyans are safe and protected. “The welfare and safety of Kenyans residing in Tanzania remains a top priority for the Mission,” it added.

Kenyans living in Tanzania have been encouraged to carry on with their normal routines while observing local laws and maintaining vigilance. “The High Commission encourages the Kenyans in Tanzania to continue with their lawful normal activities as usual,” the statement continued.
The Mission further urged citizens to promptly report any incidents or security concerns to the High Commission for immediate assistance. “Further, the Mission encourages all Kenyans to remain calm, vigilant, observe local laws, and to promptly report any security concerns or distress cases to the High Commission,” the statement said.
It added that any future advisories or updates would be communicated through official channels and community networks. “Where necessary, advisories and updates will be shared through the official communication channels and community networks,” the statement concluded.
The reassurance comes as Tanzanian authorities gradually restore normalcy following the conclusion of the country’s election period, with both governments maintaining close coordination to safeguard citizens’ welfare and regional stability.
