Evelyn Cheluget replaces Muteshi as Director General of Immigration Services
By Francis Muli, May 12, 2023Evelyn Jepleting Tarus Cheluget has been appointed as the new Director General of Immigration and Citizen Services.
Jepleting replaces Alexander Muteshi who has proceeded on terminal leave.
Before her appointment, she served in the Department as the Immigration Attache at the Kenyan Mission in Washington DC.
She was also among the 585 candidates who were shortlisted for the position of Principal Secretary in October 2022.

She holds a Master of Arts Degree in Diplomacy and International Studies and a Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management), both from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts from Egerton University.
