Egerton staff in strike notice
By KNA, October 4, 2022About 700 members of the Kenya Universities Staff Union (Kusu) Egerton University branch have threatened to down their tools if the institution council fails to clear their salary arrears running into millions of shillings.
The Kenya University Staff Union national secretary general Dr Charles Mukhwaya said the union had already issued a seven-day strike notice over the unpaid salaries.
Dr Mukhwaya further said they had served the employer and the government through the labour ministry with the notice of strike over the arrears, most of which dates back to the year 2020.
