DP Kindiki lauds Ruto and Uhuru’s meeting
Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has lauded the meeting between President William Ruto and his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta.
DP Kindiki in a statement shared via his official X account on Monday, December 9, 2024, said that the harmonious relations between the two leaders works well for national unity and stability.

Kindiki further stated that the duo’s meeting also enables the country to collectively focus on addressing national development priorities.

Several other leaders have also applauded President Ruto and Uhuru for their meeting in which they discussed issues of national interest.
Atwoli lauds Ruto and Uhuru
Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli in a statement shared via his official X account thanked Ruto and Uhuru for finding it fit to meet up in person and discuss issues of national institute interest.
According to Atwoli, the move by the two leaders will help Kenya grow its economy, create more jobs and guarantee stability which will attract both direct and indirect investment.
“On behalf of Kenyan workers let me take this opportunity to thank H.E President @WilliamsRuto and the immediate former President H.E Uhuru Kenyatta for finding it fit to meet up in person and discuss issues of national institute interest. Indeed, with this trajectory, Kenya is poised to grow its economy, create more jobs and guarantee stability which will attract both direct and indirect investment,” Atwoli stated.
Uhuru-Ruto meeting
President Ruto on Monday, December 9, 2024, visited Uhuru at his rural home in Gatundu, Kiambu county, where they discussed various issues.
The office of the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya in a statement shared on Monday, December 9, 2024, revealed that the two leaders had discussed issues of National interest.
According to a statement shared by State House, President Ruto took the opportunity to reiterate his appreciation and commendation of Uhuru’s statesmanship in overseeing the peaceful transfer of power after the 2022 elections, as well as the goodwill the former President has continued to demonstrate towards his fellow leaders and his support for Kenya’s ongoing progress and development.
President Ruto also thanked President Kenyatta for laying a strong foundation that has enabled the government to implement key programs under the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.
