Defence Ministry announces new vacancies, see salaries
The Ministry of Defence has announced over 200 vacant positions for its Civilian Staff department.
Through the Kenya Defence Forces, the Ministry is seeking to hire 35 artisans (plumbers, spray painters, panel beaters, welders, carpenters and electricians) and among others.
The Defence Ministry also wants 33 motor vehicle mechanics, 49 clerical officers and 51 sanitary cleaners. Other posts are: Drivers(11) and Cooks(30).
The human resource officer has advised interested candidates to download and fill application forms from the Public Service Commission website (www.publicservice.go.ke) and hand deliver them to Ulinzi House by May 3, 2021. Applicants can also send the filled forms to the Ministry through mail at P.O BOX 40668-00100, Nairobi.

The artisans will be pocketing a Sh15,670-17,570 basic salary, Sh3,000 commuter allowance and an yearly leave allowance of Sh4,000.
The salary for clerical officers is Sh 16, 890- 20,800 plus Sh3,000 commuter allowance. The post also comes with a leave allowance of Sh4,000 paid yearly.
Salary for cooks is Sh15,670-17,570 and a commuter allowance of Sh3,000. The post also comes with a leave allowance of Sh4,000 paid yearly. Drivers’ salary is Sh 14,610-16, 250 with the same allowances as cooks.
The Ministry has warned candidates against canvassing.
