Politicians in churches
As per the norm, politicians will flock different churches today for worship and they are expected to take to the pulpit to make various political remarks.
Today’s service comes barely four days after the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) urged Kenyans to reject government misinformation and take steps to hold their leaders accountable.
In a joint statement signed by Chairman Rev. Dr. Elias Otieno Agola and General Secretary Rev. Canon Chris Kinyanjui on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, NCCK expressed grave concern over the state of the nation, likening the country’s current situation to that of a patient in critical condition.
The churches body noted that the challenges facing Kenya today are a direct result of the public’s tendency to listen to and believe misleading narratives pushed by political leaders seeking to maintain or gain power.
