Tourism Cabinet Secretary Rebecca Miano has praised the creativity and passion exhibited by Kenyans through artistic means in the general promotion of local tourism.

Taking to her official X account on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, CS Miano said, ‘It is inspiring to see travelling Kenyans tell tourism stories through photography and videography.’

”As we step into October, it’s a moment to celebrate the incredible spirit of Kenyans embracing tourism promotion with passion and creativity. Truly inspiring to see not just travel influencers but everyday Kenyans stepping up as patriotic storytellers, sharing the beauty, culture, and magic of our country on social media,” the CS said.

The Cabinet Secretary further added that such actions put the country on the global map in tourism.

“Your posts, photos, and videos are not just content but a movement putting Kenya on the global map authentically and powerfully. You confirm Kenya is not just a destination but a feeling, a story, a home,” Rebecca Miano said in a statement.

”This momentum is worth going for! Whether it’s exploring a new corner of our country, supporting local businesses, or simply sharing your favourite Kenyan moment online or a photo, each effort counts. Together, we are building a legacy of pride and progress for our tourism industry. Let us make October another month of showcasing the best of Magical Kenya,” she added.

Miano’s sentiments on the role played by Kenyans in tourism promotion come days after the National Museums of Kenya announced free entry to all its museums, sites, and monuments across the country on Saturday, September 27, and Sunday, September 28, 2025.
