Court told missing Kiamaiko man Zizo was taken by armed men in police uniform
By Zipporah Ngwatu, July 22, 2026Ramadhan Molu, brother to the missing Kiamaiko resident Abdiaziz Duba Molu, alias Zizo, has revealed that his brother was taken away by armed men who were in police uniform.
Appearing before Milimani High Court Judge Alexander Muteti on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, Ramadhan told the court that he believes police officers abducted his brother.
He told the court that the last time he spoke to his brother on June 23, 2026, at around 5 pm, he informed him that he was at Juja fencing a plot he had bought.
The court heard that the missing Abdiaziz told his brother that he was in the company of the person who had sold him the land and their witnesses.
“My lord, my brother told me he had bought a plot at Juja Farm. He had gone for the fencing of the plot, and that is what he told me at that time. He was together with the owner of the plot and the witnesses who signed the land sale agreement,” Ramadhan told the court.
He told the court that at around 8 p.m. the land witnesses who had accompanied his brother called, informing him that the vehicle they were travelling in was intercepted near the Juja Farm railway crossing by a white Toyota Hilux double-cabin pick-up and a black Toyota Fielder.
However, they told him that they were unable to get the motor vehicle registration numbers, as they were all ordered to lie down, but they got to know the Hilux registration number that began with KDP.
Further, Ramadhan told the court that the witnesses who witnessed the ordeal told him that five-armed men, some dressed in police uniforms and others in civilian clothes wearing jungle green balaclavas, came out of the two motor vehicles.
“My lord, they suspected the five men were police officers because they were in uniform. They had rifles, and some also carried pistols secured in thigh holsters,” Ramadhan told the court.
“My lord, the witness said that the five men then asked who Abdiaziz was, and my brother raised his hand and said it was him, and they took him away,” Ramadhan added.
However, he was asked if he could disclose to court the identity of the plot owner, and he refused, citing that he and his family fear for their lives following the loss of his brother.
During the proceedings, as he was pleading with the court to help him get his brother back home, Ramadhan broke down in tears, and the family members who had attended the court also started crying, prompting Judge Muteti to adjourn the proceedings for 15 minutes.
“My lord, I ask the court, at least the court is governed by the Constitution, and I want the court to help me get my brother back. I understand even the judge is a parent and understands the pain we are going through as a family,” Ramadhan urged the court.
Through a habeas corpus application, the missing man’s family seeks orders compelling Inspector General of Police (IG) Douglas Kanja, the Kiambu County Criminal Investigations Officer and the Juja Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer, to produce Abdiaziz before court or explain his whereabouts.
