Centre for Corporate Governance to conduct NOC-K polls

By , November 1, 2021

National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOC-K) has turned to the Centre for Corporate Governance to conduct their elections slated for November 16.

This is after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), who had initially been fronted to preside over the elections, pulled out of the exercise.

The development comes after NOC-K held yet another extraordinary session of the General Assembly yesterday in Nairobi that called for a consultative meeting between federations and appointment of the NOC-K Electoral Board to conduct the NOC-K elections.

The session was also called to inform the members on the status of the upcoming Electoral Assembly and process.

Members of the General Assembly agreed on Centre for Corporate Governance to conduct the Elections seconded by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

NOC-K says the appointment of the new board was occasioned by a delay from IEBC to confirm their availability to conduct the elections.
