Bar plans send off party for Ksh1000 old currency

By , September 25, 2019

A bar in Mombasa has planned a party for the sendoff of the old Sh1000 notes.

The bar named Moonshine Mombasa is exchanging the old note with four locally brewed beers or four international bootles.

Themed ‘old notes send-off party’ the bash deadline is 29th of this month.

The main party for the send-off precedes the Central Bank of Kenya deadline for the legal tender of the old one thousand note 30th of this month.

Even as traders hesitate to accept the old currency note, the Mombasa bar is a crafty one.
