It’s not over yet until it is over! This was the bold declaration by KCB coach Zedekiah “Zico” Otieno when his team bruised the egos of Kariobangi Sharks after walloping them 3-0 in a Betking Premier League match at Thika Stadium yesterday.

KCB who have been blowing hot and cold in the later stages of the season needed goals by Samuel Mwangi (sixth minute), Baraka Badi (50th minute) and Michael Oduor (58th minute) to seal the game.  

“We are looking forward to the ongoing league with a big sense of optimism.

I think we have struck the right balance and if you may ask me, I’m pleased with what the players have performed today.  ,” said Otieno.

Meanwhile, relegation-threatened Vihiga United caused the biggest upset of the weekend after beating Western Stima 3-2 in Nakuru.

Vihiga, who sit at the lower reaches of the league, drew the first blood in the sixth minute when an unmarked Kevin Omondi slotted in without little marking.

Fifty minutes later, Stima, who stunned AFC Leopards 3-2 last week, were caught napping again when Wycliff Thata found an opening before finding the back of the net with a power-packed shot for the power men’s second and winning goal.
