Murkomen’s tour to continue
Tuesday April 8, 2025 will mark the second day of Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen’s tour in the coastal region.
The Cabinet Secretary will evaluate ongoing security operations targeting gangs, including the Panga Boys and Al Shabaab operatives.

During these visits, he is set to engage with leaders, regional and county security teams, National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs), and peace committees to enhance security strategies.
During his Monday, April 7, 2025, tour, Murkomen pitched camp in Mombasa County where he engaged with various groups.
IEBC interviews
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) selection panel will continue with their interviews on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Various candidates who expressed interest and were shortlisted are expected to appear before the Nelson Makanda-led panel starting from 8:00 am.
Among those lined up to face the panel are Israel Gwiyo Ruhu, Jacinta Tre’sa Ismail, Jackson Ndere Kiboro, James Galgalo Jarsom and James Leiro Letangule.
