Saboti Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has weighed in on policies that form political parties in the country.

This comes amid an ongoing debate over the official launch of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s political outfit on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

In his statement, Amisi vouched for youth leadership, indicating that many parties end up with ineffective members who fail to contribute positively to the party because they do not appreciate sharp young individuals.

Most parties don’t value sharp young people. In the process, those who occupy party positions are old or very useless youths who don’t carry change mentality but survival mentality,” he stated.

While drumming up support for the country’s youth, he Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) legislator encouraged the young people to come together and create their political party which he says could be the key to significantly transforming Kenya’s leadership.

“The youths of this country shall never achieve much needed change until they regroup and form a party capable of nurturing young leaders.

“Where they can grow their politics devoid of proliterates vs bourgeoisie discrimination. Youth must think big strategies and use their energy ,charisma, and enthusiasm to participate actively in scramble for a better Kenya. Kenya needs a renaissance!” he said.
