A police constable shot by colleagues after killing his father

A police constable Kelvin Itovolia Mang’ong’o from Chepkono Police Post in West Pokot was shot dead on Friday by his colleagues after the officer killed his father.
According to West Pokot County Commander, Itovolia’s father had gone to visit his son at the police post on his way home from a burial in Kakamega yesterday (Friday, November 2)
At the police post, Chepkono attacked his father with an arrowhead killing him on the spot.

Police colleagues who responded to the commotion between Itovolia and his father ordered him(Itovolia) to surrender which he declined. Instead, Itovolia attempted to grab a firearm from one of his colleagues who responded by shooting him.
The incident was reported at Kabichbich police post and the bodies were taken to Kapenguria County Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
