Kenyan Young Members of County Assembly (KYMCA) in conjunction with young leaders from diverse organisations plan to hold meetings to discuss the Building Bridges Initiative across the country starting January next year.

They said they would go around the 47 counties and seventeen constituencies of Nairobi to enlighten the youth on the BBI after launching the Nairobi BBI edition early next month.  Ndegwa said interactions with the youth would help them understand the BBI process and enable them make informed political decisions.

“Nairobi County Assembly has witness clashes between leaders lately but as young leaders in this assembly we believe that chaos have no place in a democratic society,” she said.

Ndegwa said the United Nation Habitat, The Commonwealth, United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affair (DESA) are among the main financiers of the programme.

”We will not discriminate but reach out to all youths in clusters from university, colleges, artisans, sporting young talents as well aspiring youth politicians all over the country,” she said.
